Alan has been with BioFilm since it was founded and has been intimately involved with the development of the company’s thin film technologies.  Leading the company’s R&D team, he works closely with the commercial team to develop potential new applications in the expanding thin film market. Alan has particular expertise in the area of fast dissolving and biodegradable polymers for use in film forming.  An acknowledged expert in the use of collagen, he gained his BSc Chemistry from the University of Glasgow and his PhD from the University of Paisley.
