Packaging Options

At BioFilm, we are proud of our comprehensive service offer. Our aim is to be able to meet all the needs of our commercial partners right through from early product research to development, production and on to market supply. That’s why we have invested in some of the world’s most modern packaging facilities to allow products to leave our premises ‘retail-ready’.

Whatever the specific packaging requirements, BioFilm can provide a high quality, customised solution.

Packaging capabilities include:

• Individual sachets: our state-of-the-art Doyen high speed side-seal machine packs film products into individual sachets providing the consumer with the freshest possible product every time. This technology is ideal for applications where a single dose is required, such as:
  • medical devices
  • cosmetic specialities
  • woundcare products
  • pharmaceutical products
• Multipack dispensers: thin film products are well suited for packaging in small plastic multipack dispensers. In turn, these dispensers can be sealed in bespoke blister packs, complete with branded artwork, or can be supplied in sachets or flow-wrapped.
• We can also supply the finished product in reel format ready for further processing as the client requires.

Types of packaging:

In addition to the above main delivery formats, BioFilm has the capability to handle the following types of packaging and wrapping:

• Single, double or triple blister packs
• Flow-wrap
• Clip strip (retail ready)
• Plastic dispenser into sachet
• Single films in single sachets / pouches

All the various packaging options can be placed into display cartons.

BioFilm has extensive experience in a wide variety of laminates using polyethylene combined with, for example, polyesters, paper, foil and clear & opaque OPP.
